I would love to use Imagenomic plugins (Portraiture, Noiseware and Realgrain) with Corel PaintShop Pro X7 and X8. However, after adding the plugins to PaintShop Pro, I see this error message when I execute them - Plugin caused an access violation
I added/installed the plugins by clicking on *File* -> *Preferences* -> *File Locations*
Would appreciate it if someone can help me out with this.
Regards,
RK

Re: Need help installing Imagenomic plugins in PSP X7 and X8
I wrote to Imagenomics about this around PSP X6 or 7 when they began using the *.8bf plugins for Photoshop.
George responded that they are a small company and they have no interest in porting it to another editing program, i.e. not worth it. Seems it writes a lot more than the 8bf files in the registry to accommodate their console that runs within Photoshop and Lightroom.
Sadly, I cannot even use PSP X8 with its RAW converter that does a poor job on the Nikon D800E (An unsupported camera!?!!) due to very bad CA issues it does to that camera model's files. Might be that that model has the demosaicing filter, but PSP X8 RAW conversion is pretty bad so I have to stick with PS CS6 for the time being, or use Adobe's Camera RAW or Nikon's Capture (best!) and save as a TIFF and then open in PSP X8.

Hi RK,
I was having issues myself after installing X7 and getting access violation as well as memory issues. Are those .8bf files 32 bit? I'm not familiar with that name you mentioned, but in some cases like Mura Meister, I was able to use FM Patcher

I installed X7 on a new pc but even FM Patcher didn't work for me. I read in another forum folks on X7 were able to get past the issue once PSP X7 Service Pack 1 was installed. I tried it and it worked for me. You can find the updates here. Hope it helps.
