FWIW -- since this has been discussed here before -- I have both PSP X7 and X8 (and indeed X6) plus VS X7 and X8/X8.5 on two computers which I upgraded to Win 10 from Win 8.1, and all programs work fine. Some people, however, have reported problems following the upgrade, and these have included problems with the current versions of PSP and VS, and not just earlier versions. In the case of VS, the main problem reported with VS X8 related to the Ultimate plug-ins, and Corel provided a Hotfix which appears to have rectified the problem.

In other words, it is not possible to say with any certainty that you will be able to upgrade safely. Only you can decide. But you will be aware that many people around the world are delaying making the upgrade to allow more time for Microsoft and other software companies to iron out any problems.

I definitely agree with Ken! Being an early adopter is a small inconvenience if you're talking about various software programs because if the upgraded program has bugs they are either fixed with patches quite early or it's easy to go back to the previous version. When upgrading an operating system, however, you are changing how EVERYTHING on your computer has to interact with that operating system. And not all software developers have had the time to properly test their existing products with the new Windows 10 or, even if they have, likely can't predict every single issue that Win 10 might choke on with their software. It makes sense to let Win 10 mature a bit - and for software developers to tag along with that maturity - before upgrading to it. While some people might not have issues with the same programs others have issues with, that is likely because the issues are system specific. And as no two systems are identical it is impossible to predict if something will work for you that does work for others.

Then I guess the answer is yes and no. :-) Or perhaps "it depends on your system."

Yes. As Ken said, the subject has been discussed before in this forum so a quick search of the forum for Windows 10 compatibility will show some posts from people having problems with PSP operating properly for them.

I've upgraded a win 7 and a win8.1 laptops to win10. PSP and VS both function fine with no problems. I have a Samsung TV where I run a program in the laptops written by Samsung to view photos and videos on my large screen TV. Samsung still hasn't created a win 10 program to do that, so as Ken said, some might be lost, so wait until the world catches up with Microsoft if you run things like that.
