videostudio prox6 compression type choices
Been using videostudio for years but now when I go to "custom" options for creating a new MPEG video it doesn't give me any other compression choices other than NTSC DVD and PAL. when i was using an older version of VS, I would a whole list of different options and I would always use MPEG-2. I dont have that option anymore and now I cannot do custom files any bigger than 720x480. Help please.

What version of VS are you using?
Exactly what are you trying to create?
In VS X8, I have 11 choices under Custom.

If you are trying to create a Custom mpeg file larger than 720 x 480, can we assume you are talking about high definition video? If so, then you need to look under 'MPEG Transport Stream'.
And canuck -- the title of the post tells us he has VS X6.canuck wrote:What version of VS are you using?

Yes, it is VS X6. i was using X2 for years and always had tons of options under custom MPEG compressions choices but now I only have PAL and NTSC DVD. I just downloaded a codecs bundle but that didn't help. Basically, it is only letting me render the output videos at 740 X 280 when these are files recorded in HD. Problem is my X2 has been having issues or I woudl keep using that. Any ideas? thanks guys. I am not techie by any means.
