PSP X8 Anti Alias Problems with existing .EPS files

Post by SpaceCoyote »

Since upgrading from X3 to X8 the anti aliasing isn't rendered with existing .EPS graphic files. These files are supplied by companies I work with and are usually logos.

It's worth mentioning that these are files that the anti-aliasing worked fine with in my previous version. I generally have problems with CYMK colour, but that's a different story.

When I open the file there is no anti aliasing at all, each pixel is rendered 100% opaque which makes for some very jagged logos and leaves them unworkable for me.

This is what the image should look like -^

-^ This is what it looks like opened as a .EPS with the anti-alias option ticked. Interestingly if I untick the anti-alias option the file doesn't open at all.

I'm not sure what the problem is here and there are very few options to change, but there is clearly something not working the way it should.

Can anyone advise please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi SpaceCoyote,
I tested on my system (PSP X2 and PSP X8) : I don't see any difference between the versions when opening an EPS file at 300 ppp, antialiasing checked. Both are antialiased.
I cannot open the eps file when antialising is unchecked : this is a bug.

Thanks for taking a look at my issue Jean-Luc. Seems like I might have a bad install then. I'll try reinstalling and see if that helps.
