X8 Service Pack 2

Post by mwsing »

When I opened Videostudio X8 this afternoon I got a message that I should install Service Pack 2 immediately and proceeded to do so. I have now opened a project to continue editing and find that many of the clips which I have used Mercalli on are now showing with a blue cross over all frames of the clip. It is still there even when I delete the Mercalli and do it again. I looked on the Videostudio web site to see what changes Service Pack 2 is supposed to provide and do not see it even listed. Have I been scammed? I can't imagine what is going on.

There have been some issues with the update, Corel have provided a hot fix which should correct the problem

Thanks Robert. This seemed to work. It was not clear to me that Service Pack 2 made the version into 8.5

Well, I installed the upgrade too. I have trouble with the Titler EX plug in. It crashes my computer, I am running windows 7 pro. Everything else seems to work, but when I run that plug-in, a screen comes up that wants me to activate it and at that point VS crashes every time.
I have installed the upgrade, AND the Hotfix. now I am stuck!

Hi Mark,

This issue, from memory, has previously been reported with Titler EX for VSX7 and was resolved by updating the graphics card drivers and as your card is 6 years old, make sure you have the latest graphics driver installed, I think 341.81 is the newest one for your card

Since that post I had an answer from NB that they look into this matter. So as more VS users will report on their titlerEX experience it will be nice.
