Re: Extracting audio from video
With the video on the main timeline, select Share and then select Audio to create a separate audio file

Re: Extracting audio from video
I'm sorry but I can not figure it out, are we talking about extracting the audio on only one of the video clips in the timeline because that is what I need, when you say go to share, I do not see any options for sound on the share tab, is there another way to share than the top share tab?
thanks
thanks

Re: Extracting audio from video
In the Edit mode, insert a single video on the timeline from which you want to extract the audio
Then select share and you should get the following screen and then select Audio.
If you have multiple video clips on the timeline then I think the audio is extracted for the whole project

Re: Extracting audio from video
No need to extract audio, just put the clip in an overlay track , size it to minimum and place it out of frame.

Re: Extracting audio from video
Size what to a minimum? Place what out of frame? How does that extract the audio from a video clip?
I have no idea what you are talking about. You have to explain what you are doing a lot better. Just a few words don't explain it at all.

Re: Extracting audio from video
Drop your clip into the timeline. Right click and choose split audio. Done

Re: Extracting audio from video
When I want to use the audio from a video file on a different clip, I simply put the video file on an audio track where I want it. Once a video file is placed on an audio track, Corel treats the video file as an audio file.canuck wrote:THen how do you get that audio to a new project?

Re: Extracting audio from video
thanks to all, I did find the right click and split audio option very easy to use and it does exactly what I want, put the audio file in the audio time line and then you can position the audio wherever is needed in the timeline, no hassle at all

Re: Extracting audio from video
If you want to export the sound file to another project just drag the file into the samples panel and from there you can drag it down to where you want to use it, I hope this helps

Re: Extracting audio from video
Hi
Once you Split Audio a sound clip is placed on the lower track, the video clip is muted.
The Audio clip is a virtual clip and part of the video file, it is not a separate file.
Take care of the video file, if you remove the video from the hard drive then you will loose the audio clip as its still part of the video file, if that makes sence.
