Hi there,
I have read up on posts on this subject on the forum here and have tried numerous things.
The problem is that the program (as others have noticed) keeps crashing at the exact same point each time I try and render. I have tried rendering to all different types of format output - MP4, MPG, WMV, - same each time. The movies used are from an iPhone - some from an iPhone 4, some from an iPhone 5s. None of these seem bothersome - it floats over these, renders just fine.
But on the last bit, the bit that hits 87% is a movie (from checking the project). This movie was done on a 5s in MOV format. I tried converting it to WMV, MP4 and it still seems to crash on this bit.
The thing is - it actually does save the movie on to my computer...as it is supposed to. But misses out the problem area (the bit as it hits the 87% - and after) - so effectively cuts out the ending completely of my movie.
There is a music soundtrack which it also has no problem with, I don't believe this is the problem as it wouldn't render at all and surely would crash a lot earlier in the process.
Can anyone help with this?
By the way, I did download the patch for X7...thinking this would help, have restarted more times that I can count. No difference.
Always at 87%. The video itself (of which could be the problem) plays fine as a standalone on my laptop, and within the timeline itself on X7.
Sorry I do realise this question has been done to death...
Thanks

Re: VIDEOSTUDIO X7 PRO KEEPS CRASHING AT 87% WHILST RENDERIN
Here I have no trouble to render past the 87% mark and so most of VS users (Some got stuck at 99%
)
If your setup can't, than something in that point is the culprit. There isn't any hidden solution. You know that you can view frames during the render process and see where the culprit and try to remove/replace it

Can you also please right click on that specific .mov file in the VS timeline and copy ALL its Properties here. I ask since quite a few recent smartphones use variable frame rates while filming, and VS has trouble with these, preferring more standard framerates like 25 fps, 30 fps, 50 fps or 60 fps... But I agree with asik that there must be something in that specific clip that VS cannot deal with.
