Video CAPTURE won't work

Post by Frag Tagger »

Hi There, I'm pulling my hair out trying to solve this problem.
I'm using MSP 7.0
When I try to open Video Capture, it just won't and I get the request to send error to microsoft. The weird thing is - I can get DVD Movie Factory 2 to capture using the MPeg capture.
I've tried this with both MSP service pack 1, 2, and 2.1, and reinstalling it too.
I have Windows XP service pack 2 installed. I'm thinking there may be a problem with this, but then how can it work in DVD Movie Factory then?
Any one else have this problem?

I'm having the same problem ever since I installed the November service pack. It's not the capture device, its the program. Like the original poster, the capture device works fine with everything else.

The capture program worked before the service pack and now it crashes every time. I'm running XP Pro SP2 but I've been running that all along.

I uses media studio 7.0 al long time. But before win xp sp2 or the ms upate 2 wherout i also cannot use the cideo capture anymore. I have uesd it. I think it someting with the other programes we have on the computer.

i can capture with other programs from ulead but not with msp7. And i don't like it, because capture with this peace was very useful. The first time i couldn't capture i was 'lucky'that my pc crashed. And wonder by wonder i coud use it again. But now it doesnt work any more.

Yes this isn't what you are looking for, but it is the best i can do, and i now lnowing that i'm not the only one with this problem.'

I get a failure the pc says it cannot write on an memory adsress. So i cannot start it anymore now :(

What the problem is?????? :?:

Update on 27-01-2005, i think that we are the only ones  :?

I have the same problem.

Initially the software worked until I selected the capture device that I use, and at that point the software crashed.

From that point on the software crashes from the point of trying to start the application.

Tried removing and reinstalling and the software still crashes at the point of startup, so I can't even get back in to deselect the capture device.

I saw your post and it looks like what I'm getting,... it DID work fine, now everytime I select "capture" in MSP OR Video Capture, OR DVD Factory, the whole system freezees, so I can't even get IN to change the settings...

- but did you ever FIX it, OR get ANY other program to capture correctly ever again??

Thanks
