I have been shooting interval shots for timelapse videos. I have manually resized and cropped and did pretty poorly the time involved is crazy. I tried to record a script that would resize to 1280px then crop to 1280X720, it worked once then it cropped the wrong portion of the photos, and I ended up with unusable photos, fortunately I copied them all. here is what I need to do resize from 6000X4000 to 1280px wide, then crop from the CENTER to get the needed 720px tall. That is basically it if I figure this out I might add some steps to the process.
Any thoughts?

Re: Resize and crop
Three questions:
1) What version of PSP are you using?
2) Are all images exactly the same size?
3) Is it always cropping in the upper left corner? Or how exactly does the crop fail?
Technically this script should do exactly what you're looking for. But it was recorded in X8 so I don't know if that will cause any problems if you're using an older version. But it assumes that your images are all exactly 6000x4000. It's really not anything different than what you would have recorded yourself. I did make centering the crop a little more "intelligent" but that's just because I didn't want to center it manually. I'm very lazy.

Re: Resize and crop
PSPX6, the images are the same size, it was cropping the upper left corner. I will try the script you posted and see what happens.

Re: Resize and crop
I tried the script and on the images I used it on weren't as sharp as the source images, it worked just not as well as I had hoped. I tried to record a new script, that in this case worked fair, I added a couple of steps. here is a link to the end result https://youtu.be/SnIg7EQninI
