What is the problem with having the Triple Scoop folder is it causing some problem with your programme
You cannot delete it - but you can hide it so that it does not appear - right click on the folder name - and from the pop out choose "Hide this folder"

Hello Brian, there is no problem but I don't use it at all. I've already tried to "hide this folder", but whenever I launch corel vs 8.5 it shows again. It's really annoying because this folder is useless to me.

That's odd because it never comes back for me - once hidden stays hidden
it looks as though you will just have to live with it

Hi There, Old user coming back. Have just purchased VSX8 and installed. When I choose Triple Scoop Music and try and play one of the samples the program crashes. I'm sure I have to install something right?

Re: How to delete "Triple Scoop Music" from launching VS X8.
One thing I've learned is that the "Triple Scoop Music" is located at the Music Folder of my windows. We shouldn't move or change this location at all otherwise you will face problems with it when you launch Corel VSX8.5.

Re: How to delete "Triple Scoop Music" from launching VS X8.
Hi
Video Studio works using virtual clips these being linked to the files on the hard drive, this is the same for all types of files used in Video Studio.
Renaming, moving or deleting original files or folders will result in a re-link request. A yellow flag showing on unlinked clips.
Once you have used a clip within Video Studio its saved location should not be changed. Saying that it’s a simple process to re-link the lost files.
As VS works with virtual clips you could delete the clips from the libraries Triple Scoop Music page, no problem in doing that as it does not affect the original files.
Then if you wish delete the original files from C:\Users\Public\Music\Triple Scoop Music,
You would have to reinstall the program to get the files back.
Also if you right click any clip, choose “Locate on Computer “ will open the SaveIn folder
We cannot remove the actual library folder as its part of the programs structure but we can Hide the folder, as mentioned by Brian.
Right click the words Triple Scoop Music and choose “Hide this Folder”
Are you able to do that?

Hi larkin
Sorry I was replying to the original poster “Telmo” who wished to remove the library files.
The Triple Scoop music files in the library are simply MP3 sound files.
Right click any and choose Locate on Computer.
Close Video Studio
Are you able to play those files using Windows Media Player or indeed any player on your pc.

Re: How to delete "Triple Scoop Music" from launching VS X8.
I have the same thing happen as larkin.
I insert a photo file on the video track and then put a TripleScoop file on a audio track
When I play the project the audio file plays correctly.
When I try to play the audio file by itself, VS X8 crashes

Hi canuck / larkin
Thanks for the additional details, I have just tried and have no problems.
Have you installed all patches for CVSX8?
Larkin, can you update your profile to include your computer profile, canuck appears to be running Vista, I assume that is correct, maybe it’s a windows issue?

Re: How to delete "Triple Scoop Music" from launching VS X8.
I am running VS X8.5 (18.5.0.25) fully updated on a W8.1 system (I have updated my profile).
I am going to check on my other W7 Pro system if the same occurs.
I can add the Scoop files in PowerDirector and the play there just fine by themselves. It is only VS that is giving the problem when I try to play the audio clip by itself.
It is no big deal since I actually never use the TripleScoop audio clips.
I have 17 mp3 files in the TripleScoop folder. Should there be more?

Re: How to delete "Triple Scoop Music" from launching VS X8.
I have updated my profile. I note the Scoop sound files are in a different directory to the sample sound files in the main screen and they are MP3 files whereas the sample sound files are MPA files. So there are some differences. I doubt its the system the software is installed on. UAC & Smartscreen are both turned off.
Could be that I am 32 bit and not many others would be. Would be nice to be able to get some help from Corel.

Re: How to delete "Triple Scoop Music" from launching VS X8.
Hi Canuck
My triple Scoop folder also has 17 mp3 audio files, strange that I see 2 Jpg images in the library
Larkin
It could indeed be a 32 Bit issue, I will install the 32 bit program to see if I have problems.
Corel Support….. if you do not have free support then try Corel Facebook, that is certainly free, hopefully they can help.
You could try resetting the program by re-naming the 18.0 folder to “18.0 old”
Type %appdata% in the search window, should find the roaming folder, then navigate to
C:\Users\Trevor\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\18.0
Rename that folder.
Back up the library if you don’t want to loose that, although you can always re-name again, reverting to the original folder.

Re: How to delete "Triple Scoop Music" from launching VS X8.
Hi Larkin
Yes I can now confirm that Video Studio X8 32 bit version does indeed crash the program when playing Triple Scoop samples in clip playback.
I can however add the clips to the timeline and playback in project mode as ok. (make sure the clip is not selected)
As a workround……..
For the clips I wish to use I can convert the audio to Wav using Share – Audio- choose wav as the format.
Best I can do for the time being.
Larkin can you report this to Corel on Facebook, cheers, I will also try from my end.
