NBtitler, not working for me.

Post by asik1 »

Strange but on both my installations, XP & 7 the titler crashes VS
Sometimes I can preview the FX but soon as I render it, VS crashes.
The problem is in 2 MS Dll's MSVCR90.dll or MSVCR110.dll
On the crashes reports I see "hidden" VS ...
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: vstudio.exe
Application Version: 18.4.0.25

The hotfix was too hot so 18.5 went to 18.4

Hmmm... Coincidentally, just yesterday I was playing around with the NewBlue Titler module in both X8.5 and in Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015 (which I had just bought). The module in both is identical as far as I can see. And both worked and did not crash their parent programs. But I am running them (both 64 bit versions) on Win 10...

But it seems very strange indeed that the APPCRASH report actually demoted the version number! And of course your graphics card is more than up to the job of running Titler. That is, in fact, why I was running these modules yesterday since I have two dual graphics card systems, one of which is on-board and insufficient to run Titler. I had only just discovered that Win 10 has a right click menu entry when you click over the VS or Magix icons that allows you to choose which card to use when running that program. Much more direct and easy than what I had to do with previous operating systems to point Titler to the correct graphics card...

I'm in contact with NB support, I do hope this will be resolved.

No helpful help from NB.
Deeper research I did led me reluctantly to update my GPU driver and Quicktime.
The status now is that VS do not crash while I use NBtitler but...
VS will not render it to MP4, VS simply ignore this FX but...
VS will sometime render it to WMV or Xvid AVI .

All tests I did on my XP setup.

i just saw this discussion. I am having the same trouble, on my ASUS laptop running Windows 7 pro and an i7. I have made sure all my GPU drivers are updated, too.

Well, I have just carried out extensive testing of New Blue Titler EX and at the moment cannot find fault, rendering to MP4 was very slow, as it is with many New Blue filters, but it does render successfully.
Registration does not appear to work correctly, when you customize the filter, the registration box opens, after selecting yes, a dialog box opens stating that you will receive an email to complete registration, but no email has been received, however there is no watermark so I assume that it is successfully registered

When I open up the filter, I get a window asking me to register and at that point VS crashes.
