Mercalli in X8

I have just installed Video Studio X8 Ultimate and trying to find my way around it. Experimenting with Mercalli plug in I got a blue X on the clip preview.
Is there an issue or just a mark that stabilizer has been applied.
Can not find any info on it.

PS: I'm not a newbie to video editing. Used Premiere for some years and Pinnacle for at least 15 years until the last version V17 ultimate which I found very irritating.

I would suggest you first upgrade to the very latest version which is X8.5 - it is FREE and obtainable here :-

AFTER you are updated apply the HOTFIX which you will find on the same link.

I see you posted while I was typing - that hotfix may not work unless you upgrade to X8.5 first - it was not released for X8
