Having tried PSPX8, I find I can live with the 64-bit version as I don't miss too many plug-ins and, inany case, I can keep my old 32-bit X6 for those I need.
The appeal of Perfectly Clear steers me towards Ultimate but I already have AfterShot Pro so I would be wasting money.
Any suggestions?

Re: PSPX8 Ultimate appeals but don't need ASP
If you buy X8, it will install both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions. You can only open one at a time, but that would also cover your 32 bit plug-ins within X8 architecture.... in any case, I can keep my old 32-bit X6 for those I need.
And you're not really losing money. If Perfectly Clear is what you are after, that should make the Ultimate version worth it, regardless of ASP...

Well you aren't really asking a question are you? But I also don't use ASP....but I found the other things were worth the upgrade.
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.

Not quite as good a point as it might seem. Ken has just verified for me that the Perfectly Clear 2 SE that comes bundled with X8 Ultimate is not the full version of Perfectly Clear downloadable from their site. It is missing the Beautify and Beautify Plus filters so is a somewhat stripped down version of the program. Whether you can upgrade it to the full version for a reasonable cost is something you would have to check with Athentech.leahcimi wrote:Good point Ken,
