Is there a way in VSX8 to get a running textline a tthe bottom of a video (horizonal scrolling) ?

Sure. Once you have typed your title and placed it along the bottom of the screen (above the safe area line), go to the Attributes tab and 'Apply' Animation. Choose Fly, then click the TT button. And look at the image I have attached. Press down those two buttons I have indicated with red arrows... Then test to see if it is the effect you are after.
