Frustrated...

Hey,
I am a dumb simple 16 yr old who recently descovered Ulead Movie Factory 3.5 on his computer. I started tooling around with it and eventually got to the point where I would press record, blue screen and crash horray. I downloaded the 3.0 demo as I was very interested in actually having the program work. I've done a lot of encoding for palm pilots n such, but this really has me baffled. My computer is a monster, Athlon FX-55 processor top of the line yadda yadda, but when I try to convert AVI (possibly the problem?) to the disk it takes upwards of 10-15 minutes for 1% which is rediculas IMO. Any ideas? I am looking around the forum but havn't found anything thats helped.

What kind of .avi is it? Right click and select Media Clip Properties. It sound like this may actually be some sort of mpeg 4, which most of the time Moviefactory will not convert to DVD format.
