Hi AfterShot Pro / AfterShot community! Alex from the Corel Photo team here. I’m dropping in today to make a few quick announcements and tell you about something I’ve been teasing here in the forum for a little while now—the official Corel Photo blog, Points of View.
For those who haven't hear yet, the blog is now live at http://blog.paintshoppro.com. It’s been designed as central hub for the Corel Photo community that will not only provide us with a platform to share all the amazing original and curated content we have in store for you (from how-to articles to news, special announcements and more), but also a place where we can connect more directly with you, our community members, by sharing your photos and the stories behind them, while getting your feedback and chatting with you directly in our comments section.
I’ve been posting articles on the blog for the last few weeks written by a few members of our team ( mostly from Greg and I so far) and we’ve recently welcomed in our first guest contributor, a member of the PaintShop Pro community, Carole, aka. Cassel, a digital scrapbooker and longtime PSP community member. Just yesterday, I published Part 2 of her series on Picture Tubes in PaintShop Pro, so show her some support, give it a read or leave a comment—here's a direct link to her new post: http://blog.paintshoppro.com/picture-tu ... ro-part-2/. And here's a link to our latest AfterShot Pro post: http://blog.paintshoppro.com/aftershot- ... ilm-x-t10/
Call for Community Submissions
And that leads me to my next announcement… I know many of you here in the forum have all kinds of knowledge when it comes to working in AfterShot Pro, use different workflows and techniques, and I’m excited to have the blog so we can really start to spread that knowledge to even more AfterShot Pro users and beyond. So I’m putting out an open call for community content submissions.
Have an idea for an article on the blog? I'd love to hear it!
Did you write up a tutorial to help others learn a new technique? Send it on over and let’s chat about it!
If you’re published on the blog, we’ll provide full credit and will also share your published work through our social media channels. You can submit ideas by posting in this thread or you can send it to me in a private message or by email to photo.media@corel.com.
Fan Friday Now Has A New Home
Speaking of things being sent in from the community, I’m also happy to announce that Fan Fridays has now been moved from its temporary home on Facebook to its new home on the Points of View blog!
In an effort to help make Fan Fridays more accessible to everyone, we’ve given the gallery a new home. Now, every two weeks, you can drop by Points of View to see the new Fan Friday post, where you’ll find all the latest submissions from the community.
Want to be featured in the next gallery? Send us your photos, digital art, graphic designs, scrapbook layouts—anything you’ve made in AfterShot Pro—and you could be featured next! Send them through email to fanfridays@corel.com, post to the AfterShot Pro Facebook wall (http://facebook.com/CorelAfterShotPro), or tweet it to us on Twitter @AfterShotPro.

Now if Corel were to release PaintShopPro as a Mac application then you would be onto a winner.
Adobe are making life difficult for the people who dont want to follow their subscription model.
So there is an opportunity to drag many old Photoshop users into the PSP fold.

Still learning after all these years!
