What is the advantage of x8 vs x7

I have paint shop pro x7 what would be the advantage of upgrading to x8 ?

After a week of trying it out, I do not think it's worth the money.
PSP X7 was a whole new experience. PSP X8 is X7 with a couple of bits extra that, with a workaround, can be achieved in X7.
Brian's helpful grid will show what I mean.

I am not buying X8 and will remove the trial well before it expires.
After having used PSP since Jasc version 5, for the price it is a major dissapointment.
But, admittedly, that is my personal experience.

I skipped X7. I went from X6 to X8 and I'm highly delighted.

I don't see the "Add infos" feature. It is new in X8, IMHO.

And I don't see the feature in the chart where adding an object from a Picture Tube automatically places it on a new layer. I understand from the thread about what people like in X8 that this is a new feature. Gotta be my favorite one so far.

That was new in X7, it is old news for X8!

I will. Used the trial and will remove that over the weekend.
Not worth the money as an update from X7.
But if you skip from X6 or lower, I woud recommend X8.
In that case there is plenty new stuff to discover.

I usually do not upgrade on every release. Matter of fact, before PSPX8, I was using PSPX4.

I figure if they give us small, incremental upgrades, then I'll do the same giving them my cash.
