Preference Setting for Editing a Clip

Post by lilicoi »

Hello I am using a German Version of VideoStudio Ultimate X8.5 on Win10 and I went through the manual forth and back and I did not find an option to change the preference for the following:

When I am editing a movie and when I select a clip, I want the options field being opened by default. I always have to click on the up-arrow on the right side to open the filter settings, instead to have this opened by default.

It might be a simple issue, but I spend hours to find out, where I can change the setting for this option.
I hope you can help me to fix this.

Many thanks in advance,
Lilicoi

I'm afraid there is no other way of opening the Options tab but to click on that rather hidden Options button over on the right. Nothing happens by default. I have gotten so used to it, I just do it automatically, though I acknowledge others would be hoping it would happen automatically... like you...

Thank You Ken for Your quick response.
I have a 27" monitor with a very high resolution and plenty of space to have it opened by default.
For me this is a strong wish for the next relrease and I believe it is a very little change to make users life a bit more easy.
Thanks again

If you double click on any clip in the timeline the correct Options panel will open
