PSP X = WINDOWS 7 + FONTS

Post by Gabrielle Johnson »

Hi all
I use PSPX on a regular basis and have justed upgraded my system to Widows 7. When I open a font which is not installed in Windows fonts it doesn't appear in my font list in PSP. Is there anyway i can use this font without having to install it in the windows Fonts folder?
I look forward to a solution
Regards

There is a little programme called Font Viewer that you can download http://fontviewer.en.softonic.com/
Place any fonts you download into a folder. Open Font Viewer and direct it to the folder. It has a great visual of the fonts. When you open a font, it will show in the Font drop list in PSP. You just select it and use it but it's never installed on your Windows.

Also, Windows 7 has a built-in font viewer that shows all fonts, not just those in the Windows/Fonts folder.
If you single-click on a font, it will open in a window which gives you the option to install a font, or not.

Whereas with the old Windows systems like 95 and 98 and harddisks, you had to be careful that installed fonts didn't take up too much space or resources, that is no problem with modern devices.

But Fontviewer is a really populair third-party viewer. Used it for year, until I discovered that Windows will do it for you als well. :D
