deregister VSP & PSP from a computer.

Post by budbon »

I had my laptop for less than a year. After 3 attempts to repair an issue, Best Buy replaced it. Now I need to install Photo & Video X4 on the new computer. I have already registered this product on one other computer. Can the product be deregistered from the defunct computer and installed on the new?

The EULA for PSP allows it to be installed on three computers anyway, so no problem there. For VS it is only supposed to be installed on one computer but since you no longer have that computer and the program is no longer accessible on it anyway, I don't think there would be anything to worry about with VS either. I would certainly not be worrying about the Corel EULA police knocking on your door any time soon!

I'll give it a try. My issue was wondering if they could be installed. They were registered on the old computer.

If you still have the installation files, they should install. And you will be asked to register again, which you will need to do since, in the case of VS, you may recall that you can only access the Do More screen after you have registered. But I have to say that I have installed, and reinstalled the same Corel programs over and over again, and registered each time, and the only thing I got from Corel each time was a thank you email, telling me that I had 30 days free access to tech support (plus giving me links to plug-ins in the case of PSP).

The only thing that might be a worry for you is if your new computer comes with the new Windows 10 as version X4 of both programs may not be fully compatible with it.
