I have a tennis match that has a rather large ticker at the bottom of the screen. When the match first comes back from a comercial it is full screen, but a few seconds into it the ticker appears. Right before the next comercial the ticker goes away again.
When its there the width stays the same as before so the players looked scrunched up and all out of proportion. I realize I can use the crop filter to take out the ticker, but then over time it reapears. Also, simply removing the ticker leaves a large black area underneath the players and does nothing to solve the problem of the players being out of proportion. Is there any way to get rid of the ticker and put the players in the correct proportion?
I am using ulead videostudio 8. I have an AMD Athlon 64 3200 with 512MB of RAM and have plenty of hard drive space free.

Please let me know if its possible
If it is not possible to do this please let me know. I've put off putting together the clips until I know if I can use the ones with the ticker on the bottom. I haven't gotten any response yet so let me know if its because its too hard to explain or if the software is not capable of doing it.

'Ticker'
I don't think there is any way to get rid of that 'ticker'.
Something similar that bothers me is the channel logo that also stays until a commercial comes on.
Neither Pinnacle, VS8 or Premiere Elements can perform that magic.
If anyone has the answer, I would love to hear it.

Watch cnn, cnn headline news, fox, msnbc, cnbc, espn, espn2 or any other number of channels and you will see that the bottom has news items scrawling accross it in a window. Well the tennis channel has one on the bottom that takes up about 20% of the screen. In order to compensate for this, the height has been reduced by about 20%, but the width has remained unchanged. Thus the match is now out of proportion.jchunter_2 wrote:Max,
I think that no one has any idea what you are talking about. What is a ticker?

I used the cropping filter to remove the window from the bottom, but I do not know how to resize the video to the correct proportion. Could someone please let me know how to do this or at least let me know if it is possible.
