Audio didn't record all through DVD

I successfully (or so I thought) burned a DVD from an AVI file, which plays fine on my computer, but about a quarter of the way through watching it on my DVD player connected to the TV, the sound dropped out for the rest of it - the video was fine, but no sound. What could have happened?

what the audio/video compression of the AVI file? right click on the AVI in MovieFactory and select Media Clip properties

Hi Ploggy

The video compression says it's DivX? 6.0 Codec.
The audio compression says MPEG Layer-3

Any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks for replying
