Can I Install VS 8.5 over VS 6?.
Hi. If I am going to install a new version of VS (8.5) - would I need to uninstall my previous version of VS (6.0)?

There is no need to uninstall any previous versions - Videostudio does not install 'OVER' anything - it installs new versions alongside of prvious ones.
Many of us have more than one version of Videostudio installed at any one time - I for instance currently have X8.5 and four previous versions installed - each one is available to me at any time (only one open at a time of course) - I and my colleagues do it so we can check back when we are trying to help someone with a previous version - but you may want to do it so that you can use any function in a previous version that you have not yet mastered in the latest version
just be aware that if you work in X8.5 you will need to do a 'save as X6 in order to use it in X6 - but the reverse does not apply - you can use a X6 project in an X8.5 without problem
.
.
just to clarify - the X used in version numbers is the Roman numeral for 10 - so X6 is 16 - version 6 was a very long time ago.
