Ultimate X8.5 and Plugin Licenses

I purchased X8 Pro and upgraded to Ultimate at the end of July. I created a video using proDAD AutoPen, which worked great. This week, I upgraded to X8.5 and now when I go to edit those proDAD effects, I get an error saying it isn't licensed.

What do I need to do to get these back?

Did you do the simple, free upgrade noted here: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 73#p311173 Or did you actually pay for an upgrade? If so, did you pay for the upgrade to X8.5 Pro or Ultimate?

However, I have just checked with my own upgraded (free) version of X8.5 Ultimate and find that it too requires a licence. So I will need to check with Corel.

EDIT: I see that Script and Vitascene also require a licence, though Mercalli does not appear to do so. I have already sent a message to Corel.

The licenses only apply to versions 6,7 & 8, not 8.5, it would appear that Corel forgot to contact the vendors to update the plugins for the new version

That would appear to be the case. The Corel exec in charge of development of VS has told me they are working hurriedly to update the licences. Watch this space!

We have been advised that Corel has provided a hot fix to cure the licencing problem in X8.5

I've just installed the hotfix in my own X8.5, and it does indeed appear to have fixed the licensing issue. It also changed the version number to 18.5.0.25.

Installed the hot fix and my proDAD fx seem to work fine. Hope it also fixes my not responding issue.

Let us know if it does, though I don't think your other problem related specifically to licensing. In my case at least, Mercalli did not seem to be affected by the upgrade to X8.5...
