Is AfterShot integrated with PSP x8 Ultimate?

In other words, when you edit a raw file in PSPx8, does Camera RAW Lab open or does AfterShot?

Good question.

However, I can't see a way that X8 integrates AfterShot2 into the X8 front end. Presently I am only getting Camera RAW Lab. I haven't read read any support help on the its integration with X8, maybe there IS a video tute for this . . dunno?

Nope they are still separate programs. However, you can setup PSP as the external editor for AfterShot Pro.

This means that much like Lightroom and Photoshop, you do your photo management and RAW editing in AfterShot Pro, then for more advanced tweaks you send the new image to PaintShop Pro for editing. Here are instructions for that http://howto.corel.com/en/c/How_To_Set_ ... erShot_Pro

It's a very deliberate flow of content.

The reason I asked is because I already have AfterShot Pro 2 with the most recent service pack. (With PSP as the external editor, of course!) I wondered if PSPx8 Ultimate integrated AfterShot (abbreviated version) as a bridge program that would make the upgrade to PSPx8 Ultimate worthwhile.

So will wait for the release PSPx8 Non-Ultimate* instead.

*more correctly, PSPx8 Penultimate :D
