Program Dialog Box Won't Resize

I am running PSP X5 Ultimate on my computer.

Recently I did something that made the File>Open dialog box the size of my screen and nothing on earth will reset it to the original size!

I have tried dragging it back to the original size, double-clicking the top bar, the keyboard shortcuts to resize using your keyboard...I even resorted to downloading a program that says it will resize unresizable dialog boxes. Pfft...all failures. I also have tried resetting all my settings, deleting any jbf files, and even reinstalling PSP! Nothing has changed. I have no idea what is wrong...or how to even fix it.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 so not sure if that is the issue or not.

This has nothing to do with PSP, it is a Windows problem. You need to check your settings for opening File Explorer.

The only program it is doing this in is PSP...all other programs are fine when I try to open a file.

Any ideas? I've reset my file explorer settings to default and it still won't reset to the original size

How exactly did you do that? The normal way to reset the program is to hold down the Shift key when clicking on the PSP icon on the desktop. You should then get a msg asking if you want to reset. Is this what you did?

Oh wow...no never heard of that way of resetting. I just set all my preferences back to the default settings...

I know exactly what mushygirl is talking about now.

I clicked on the Open folder, clicked on the top bar and the open dialogue window opened full and there's no way of making it smaller.
I've tried so many ways it's just not happening in PSP. As mushygirl says, it doesn't happen in any other File Explorer to program Open file, so it is definitely PSP bug. I have reported it!

OMG thank you! I was starting to think I was crazy and the only one affected!

I was able to replicate this but I was also able to right-click and chose restore to get the smaller window back. Does this work for you?

Unfortunately, no. The Restore option is greyed out

I fixed it ......... I went into PSP and clicked on the JPG icon to save. The dialogue window opened huge but I was able to double click on the top and it reduced the size.
Now, when I open it's the correct size. If you don't have the JPG icon on the standard toolbar you can add it by doing customise.

Do you mean the floppy disk icon?

I just tried that and didn't work for me *cries*

I'm still getting the same result. The only thing happening is the PSP icon is moving to the left edge of the dialog box a little more...no resizing

I am assuming Maureen meant the JPEG Optimizer button (see View > Customize > Commands > All Commands). But it would be useful if Maureen could clarify a little more, given that there is also a JPEG Artifact Removal button...

Sorry for not explaining correctly, and yes, Ken is correct. I added the .JPG button by doing a Customise. When the dialogue window opened it was the normal size... thankfully.
Next I clicked on the Open icon and the window was the correct size. I think it is a bug and have reported it.
