Please put the ability to change image dpi back into the image resize dialogue. OMG what did you guys do to the dialogue. I literally can't work with this. So that's my wish.

You can still change the DPI with the resize dialog. It's just a little different.

Open the Resize dialog, select "By Print Size" and change the DPI. Then switch back to "By Pixel" and set the pixel size to match the original. This will change your DPI without changing the pixel dimensions.

The dialog is meant to let you choose between several modes of resizing making it more flexible and useful especially in batch modes. Just have to get used to it. It's still fully functional. Though I do acknowledge they could have simplified it a little.

As a longtime PSP enthusiast (not professional), I always thought that the most lacking feature of all the Corel versions (I wasn't a user when the software was owned by Jasc, so I don't know if that feature previously existed) is the ability to use zoom in/out freely while doing selections.

With this feature implemented, the precision and handling of selection tool would be greatly improved (specially in point to point mode), since we could zoom in/out while doing the selection, but unfortunately, as it is today, those zoom functions are disabled (both mouse wheel and keyboard hotkeys) and just enabled again when we finish the selection.

As a programmer myself, I don't think it would be a major code change, considering that the zoom and the selection features already exists and works very well, so the request is just to make them independent of each other.

I really hope (and I think many other users hope too, see X8 wish list topic) that this feature could be implemented in a near future, maybe through a X8 SP1 update instead of wait another year for the next version (wishful thinking :) ).

I have been using PSP since JASC version 7. I love it. It does most everything I want to do. I recommend PSP to all those who are shopping for a good photo post-processing program with pretty good graphic arts functions. I have a couple of suggestions.

1. Sliders adjustments with a little more subtle adjustment. Especially, brightness and contrast.
2. A few more presets available in the HDR function.
3. I am an avid user of Linux Mint 17.1. Aftershot Pro 2 works very well. I would like to see PSP to work with Linux.

Have a GREAT DAY!

A Resize button on the Adjust Mode tool bar would be very nice. Modern cameras make humongous picture files -- 24mb & rising -- so that I always have to resize the pictures before sharing them online or via email. I use the Adjust Mode a lot for tweaking photos (even the RAW ones) so having the Resize button right there would be a big convenience.

Would be so nice if PSP file browser could navigate Windows shortcuts!

I keep a dozen organizer shortcuts on my Windows Desktop, but PSP cannot "see" them: PSP manager only shows actual folders, not shortcuts.

Wishes for "smart photo fix" :

the amount of "white balance" adjustable by slider: often I want some adjustment, but not quite as much!
don't always make photos much sharper by default: I never want to sharpen this much (or at all)

ICON and GIF require a litle specific UI that PaintShop Pro does not have yet.

For me the best choice is set of tools IconUtils 5 - http://www.aha-soft.com/iconutils/
Also you can check IcoFX - http://www.icofx.ro/index.html
or free Greenfish Icon Editor Pro - http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... -Pro.shtml
yes to icon support!

1. Restore the previous image resizer so we can set dpi. The current one appears to assume we don't know what we're doing.

2. Fix PNG file format to accurately save and restore ppi instead of converting (with flawed precision) to ppcm when saving.

Fix these two things and I'll be the first to send Corel more money.

DigitalDave, you can still mix and match DPI resizing with pixel/percentage resizing. You just have to set the new DPI under the print option before hitting OK. You don't have to resize by print size to make that change. Though I do agree the attempt to make the dialog easier has made it more complicated for some but we haven't lost any functionality.

Technically PNGs don't support PPI. PNG's format by default is in CM. There is a single flag inside PNG that is either on or off. If it's on that tells the application that the value should not be edited it is in CM. If it's off the application can do whatever it wants. But there is no direct setting for inches inside PNG. So if we want to read PNGs as inches that would have to be a file format preferences option as well. But it's always going to have to do the conversion between CM and IN because of how the format specifics the size to be written.

I would like to resize the Crop boundaries while maintaining the proportions.

I sometimes have an image where I would like it to nearly fill the available space. I would like to be able to crop it while maintaining a non-standard image proportion. Oh, I can do this, but it takes too much horsing around.

What I want is to specify a proportion like 1:2 and keep it the way PSP will keep the 16:9 proportion. Seems to me PSP used to have this in the days before common proportions were introduced. I want it back.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

ehume I'm not sure I'm understanding you. In X8 and all of the previous versions I can recall, if I put 100w x 200h in the size box on the crop toolbar (1:2 ratio) and select "Maintain Aspect Ratio" it will always keep a 1:2 ratio as I resize the boundaries. You aren't restricted to the defaults you find in the floating toolbar for presets. You can also create your own presets that will appear on this bar.
