Action cams and defishing

Post by Collector »

Hi Everyone,

I sometimes use an action cam by Guardo. Not the very best but for my usage more than enough and a lot of accessories.

The classical question with fisheye effects encountered by action cams: any suggestions of free soft that will defish that effect? I know ProDad has a program for that but since I use the action cam only a few times a year, I am looking for a "free" meal... .

I appreciate your reactions and commentaries.

Have a nice holiday.

Yes, I have that proDAD program, and it is excellent. However, GoPro has its own (free) editor called simply Studio, and it includes de-fisheye... You could give that a try if your video has properties compatible with GoPro high def mpeg-4/H.264 output.

Hello,

I tried this GoPro 2 de-fisheyeing... soft but unfortunately it does not work out for my action cam. If no free meal soft I will have to choose Predrenalin but I wrote to both Guardo and ProDad to be sure it will work.

Thanks for the answer.
