color channels question

let me set this up. i am an artist and i use polarizers to eliminate glare when i photograph my artwork.
the polarizers saturate and change the color.

is there a way for me to alter colors INDIVIDUALLY to my liking? i do not me changing hue as that affects color change over the whole image....i mean like changing colors independently of each other.

Yes it is possible.

In PSP you go into the Image menu and you select split channels. PSP does not let you edit individual channels directly.

Image -> Split Channel -> Split to RGB.

This will create three new images, one for the Red CHannel, green channel, and blue channel. You can now perform any edits that you want to. When you're ready to recombine them again you go

Image -> Combine CHannel -> Combine RGB

Make sure the appropriate image is setup in the appropriate section of the dialog And hit oK.

This will again create a brand new image with all of your changes.
