Creating disc menus
Disc menus allow viewers to easily navigate through the contents of a disc and easily choose the specific parts of the video to watch.
In Corel VideoStudio Pro, you can create disc menus by applying menu templates and editing them to suit the requirements of your projects.
To apply a menu template
1Select Create menu in the 1 Add Media page and click Next. This takes you to the 2 Menu & Preview page
WHERE do i find this
1Select Create menu in the 1 Add Media page and click Next

Share is a big tab at the top of your screen
Select the disc icon down the middle of the screen if you want to burn a disc - the top icon (computer scren) will indeed make a variety of videos - click on all the icons to learn what they do.
if you want to show your videos to the world you need to share them - - all output options are accessed via the share tabBrianCee wrote:Click on 'Share' - then select the disc icon - then select 'DVD'

Re: making a menu
You obviously have VS X8, but never bought the authoring/burning module for it. That is clear from the fact that you don't have a disc symbol in your VS.
Since menus are associated with burning discs, you won't be able to create a menu either. Mind you, if you install the free update patch for VS X8.5 which has just been released, it will give you a stand-alone authoring module called MyDVD where you can also build menus. See http://www.videostudiopro.com/en/support/updates/
But again I have to say that unless you are planning on 'sharing' to a disc, you won't be able to prepare a menu, and there is little point in doing so, unless you plan on just making, say, a DVD .iso file or DVD folder. These contain an exact mirror of what would go on an actual disc, but can be played as software DVDs in a variety of software DVD players. Mind you, I have never used MyDVD so don't know if it can prepare .iso files or DVD/Blu-Ray folders, apart from burning an actual disc.

Re: making a menu
Thanks
maybe it is because I have the trial version?
we always make DVDs with menus of our vacation picks and videos. but only for us.
if we shared them with others we would get "Oh can you do that for me with my pics?"

Yes it is definitely because you have the trial version
So you "SHARE" them with your immediate family
