Corel Screencap X8

Post by dan44762000 »

So i couldn't find a forum of its own so will post here and then a MOD can move if appropriate .

If corel Screencap X8 has "System audio" enabled in settings it will fail , If i disable that option it works fine . Now why is this ?
Is it some weak attempt to stop the software being used for piracy ?

I am running windows 8.1 with all updates up to date .

Just use this for doing my youtube videos but now it wont work so am using something else .

Solution please >

The inference I get from your post is that it did work but now it doesn't - is that correct - so what changed - was it maybe a windows update that created the problem

you may want to check for new drivers for your audio system - if it was caused by a windows update your drivers may need updating.

I am not sure what has changed regarding windows updates but i always install them , And my audio drivers are always up to date.

It captures the screen and my voice but if i enable "system audio" i get the error .

No other issues with any other program on my pc , its just screen cap X8

I am using Video studio X7 and had the same problem. I thought it was because i am using an M-Audio sound card but that's not the case, I tried a few settings and nothing changed until i set the sound card to Stereo output not 5.1 surround as my default speaker output was. Now i can capture the screen with system sound.Hope it can help someone.
Best of Luck to all
