X7 Resizing Problems

Post by JoeSnuffie »

1. Black raster with alpha and no AA becomes shades of grey with alpha and AA when I use Image > Resize. However, if I use the Scale tool, while it isn't always a clean resize, it retains the single color with AA edges. The attached gun pic is an example of an image that does this.

2. *This problem seems to have gone away with Windows 10. Raster curves distort when I resize. The best example is a circle. If I resize a 400x400 raster circle to 200x200, the top, bottom, left and right edges are not smoothed properly and look like they have a "nipple" on these edges.

3. I just noticed this after upgrading to Windows 10. A stitched image with several layers, each with varying transparency along the intersecting edges. When I resize, much of the length of these edges become a darker line. The Edge Resize pic shows the line (in the center) after a resize. The line is not there before the resize.
