VS X8 cannot complete registration on Windows 10

Hi,
I just clean reinstalled Windows 10. Before doing that, I had completely uninstalled all my Corel products.
But now after reinstalling, Studio X8 Ultimate and Corel Paint Shop pro X7 Ultimate do not complete the register process when starting.
I do get an email from Corel that I have registered but these 2 programs do not recognize it and do not want to act as a registered programs.
(see attachment, I don't go further than that, a empty windows after entering my registration data).

As a result, I cannot download extra content.
I already tried to start as an administration. No result.
Any Idea?

I've done an installation of X8 64 bit on a clean install of Win 10 64 bit Home Edition yesterday and it worked just fine, including the registration process. However, I have drawn Corel's attention to your problem so hopefully some suggestion might be forthcoming.

I've just realised I misused the term 'clean install'. That computer's original OS was Win 7 Ultimate. But for some reason, the Win 10 .iso I used (to upgrade to Win 10 Pro, which is the target OS from Win 7 Ultimate) sought a serial number for Win 10. I followed a somewhat misleading post on-line about how to get around this and successfully installed Win 10 Pro -- only to find that Microsoft would not allow it to be activated! So in the end I reformatted the hard drive and did a clean install of Win 7 as I still had the original disc. I did not load any programs on that clean install, but simply updated it to make sure Service Pack 1 was installed (as required by Microsoft for the upgrade to Win 10). Then I used the same .iso disc and this time it worked just fine and Win 10 was activated by Microsoft.

So in effect I upgraded to Win 10 on a clean install of Win 7. But then had to reinstall a variety of other programs, including Video Studio which, as I say, worked just fine...

By the way, Corel has indicated that it has referred your problem to their tech people.

By the Way, my graphics card is a radeon serie R9. Last driver installed.

I'm afraid that is still happening here in New Zealand too the next day. I too get responses which are either a blank page or that list of phone numbers. Unfortunately, though, none of us here work for Corel, and Corel have not informed us of any outages on their main server. So I don't know what has gone wrong at their end. They are supposed to be posting a number of patches for some of their products, including Video Studio, to ensure compatibility with Windows 10. However, I would not have thought it would have been necessary to take down all of the server to achieve this, nor have taken so long to do... :cry: :roll:

EDIT: A couple of minutes later, when I tried again, this time it worked, bringing up the nearest Corel.com site to me here in New Zealand, namely the Australian one: http://www.corel.com/au/ However, the Updates & Patches pages don't seem to have any new entries. The other more direct Video Studio site http://www.videostudiopro.com/en/support/updates/ also has no new updates, the last one being SP1 issued in early July.

Hi,
I found a similarly topic on this forum with Windows 7 and VSX6 (I think). The solution there, adapted to W10 (I had to set Internet explorer as default browser first) worked for me :
1. From the control panel windows set to default settings the Internet Explorer
2. In Internet Explorer settings add properties to trusted hosts http://www.corel.com, iws.corel.com, apps.corel.com, corel.com. For trusted sites allow all ActiveX launch options.
3. Clear the cookies and cache in Internet Explorer.
4. For Windows 7. Remove the all files in the SystemDrive:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Corel\Messages (Example c:\Users\Poll\AppData\Roaming\Corel\Messages)
