Hello,
After looking at the documentation and the tutorial. It states that VS9 has two tabs available when the Audio Tab is opened. The first is called 'Music and Voice" whie the second is called "Auto Music" I am trying to make a small clip synchronize to an mp3 music file which I successfuly imported into the project. Anyone know if this feature is not available in the trial version or if I am making a common mistake?
BTW: How do you search this Web Board?
Thanks,
Rick

Automusic Clarification
It would be interesting to get more of a feel for this function. I know you can purchase add on SmartSound modules which is great, so that the music is royalty free and can go on for ever in a theme.
Can you import an mp3 song and still make the video synchronize its movements to the imported mp3 file. Is this what AutoMusic means? Or does it only apply to the smartsound clips that come with the purchased version as well as the add on smartsound clips.
Thank You,
Rick

Hi
I had the previous version 8 installed
After installing V9 Trial I found that auto music did work but was limited to two files.
I assumed that Auto Music would work with the Trial on its own, not because it was installed in addition to VS 8.
I remember uninstalling all Video Studio and Smart Sound. Re-installing VS 9 Trial on its own, the Auto music worked???????????
Auto Sound is a good part of VS and should work with the trial version.

You can't take an MP3 file and use that as the basis of an AutoMusic track. You can only use the tracks supplied with the program, or those that are available for purchase from SmartSound.
The program comes with 26 tracks, each of which is available in multiple styles (from a few to over one dozen, depending on the track), and additional tracks can be previewed from within the program.

I don't think that's what was being asked, I think it was whether VS will sync video to beats in the mp3 track...THoff wrote:You can't take an MP3 file and use that as the basis of an AutoMusic track. Very Well,
Thank you for the answer. AutoMusic ONLY works with the supplied audio tracks as well as those purchased from the smartSound.
That means if I purchased music from iTunes or ripped a music CD of my favorite Yani Song.....
<joke> then I would not be able to synchronize the video with cuts and fades automajicaly with the uploaded music.
Video synch only works with AutoMusic, which only works with smartSound and the supplied audio tracks.
Thank You,
Rick
