Importing 4:3 clips

Post by mwsing »

I have encountered a similar problem that I had once importing 16:9 clips, when the imported clips did not fill the whole of the window in the VideoStudio screen. This seemed to depend on the video that I had open previously. I have just imported some Super 8 clips on a DVD and the image in the preview window only fills a smaller portion in the centre of the whole screen, I tried changing the aspect setting to 4:3 before importing but this didn't make any difference. Any ideas?

Could you put one of the clips in the timeline - RIGHT click over it and choose properties from the pop-up

please copy or screen shot the property box and post it here.

Also please then confirm that your project properties exactly match those from the video

Thanks Brian. Fortunately in trawling around my computer, I found that I had imported these clips in August 2013 with no problems, so I am able to create the project from those.
