Stability Crash Performance Advice. How to avoid problems?

Post by jamesd1 »

I've had problems with Corel VideoStudio Pro 7 in the past and abandoned it; don't recall what but some type of crash. Questions:

1. Are there some file types that Corel VideoStudio Pro is more friendly with?

2. Are there settings in Corel VideoStudio Pro that are more apt to insure fewer crashes or other problems?

3. Are their limits one should not cross. For instance, I recently imported a hundred very short, mostly less than a minute, clips and when I tried to delete them, Corel VideoStudio Pro 7 crashed.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: vstudio.exe

Corel VideoStudio Pro then generated a "Load from stream error" message and this message could not be terminated but looped infinitely. Even ctrl-alt-del task manger could not kill it. So I rebooted and tried again. Same error. Now Corel VideoStudio Pro will not start at all.

Had to delete the folder as described here http://howto.corel.com/en/c/Load_from_s ... Studio_Pro in order to get the program to start again.
