Hi
Just a question.
Currently outputting a 5 min video, but in around 2 mins of it I used the noise reduction effect.
The rendering process is painfully slow! akin to my old Win 95 machine lol.
Is this simply a result of the effect or is something else at play?
Cheers
Mike

I think it would be the filter as a small number of the other filters also slow down rendering considerably... though I have no real knowledge of why they do so.

Hi, well it worked out at an hour per min! which is terrible.Ken Berry wrote:I think it would be the filter as a small number of the other filters also slow down rendering considerably... though I have no real knowledge of why they do so.
Did a test and removed the noise reducer and it rendered the whole 5 mins in around 10mins.
Won't be using that filter again then lol

Re: Corel Studio X8 slow render
Would it not be more sensible to remove the audio track from VS and clean it up in Audacity?
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: Corel Studio X8 slow render
You can split the audio. Clean up in Audacity and return to VS in the state you want it.
I make a habit of splitting the audio away from the video in case I want to treat it in any way, Audio Ducking for example.

Terfyn -- just as you can have too much 'noise' in still photos, you can also have similar 'noise' in video. It has nothing to do with audio.
