Paintshop Pro X7 locking up on Windows 10 Upgrade version

Hello Coral

I am finding Paint Shop Pro X7 is loading on Windows 10 but locking up when I start editing images.

It becomes unresponsive.

I have loaded everything from CR2 files from my Canon 700D, to Jpegs and PNG files with the same end result. It worked fine on my system on Windows 7 before the Upgrade. Also I found in other older programs like a really ancient version of Photoshop I own, PSD files give an out of memory error on Windows 10.

I have 16 gig of ram installed so clearly that is wrong but it may indicate a bug in windows, which is why I mention it.

One last thing, I have over 12,000 photos with meta tags and I am finding my self having to wait a long time for Paint Shop Pro X7 to load. Sometimes all I want to do is edit an image and I have to wait for it to finish reading the tags before i can switch to edit mode to edit anything. Any chance of something being done about that so the edit side can be loaded quickly when needed ?

Btw X7 stands up quite well against adope Photoshop and light room CC. Got a months trial on both, thinking paintshop does a lot things much better.

Good work Coral, hope these Windows 10 issues get sorted, probably a windows issue, Windows 10 seems to have a lot of minor bugs right now.

I don't have Windows 10, yet! However, maybe you need to restore PSPX7 to default by holding the shift key when opening. See if that helps speed up the programme. Also, clear out the cache. File, Preferences, Reset Preferences, and tick Delete all cache files. A new cache will be rebuilt when you restart PSPX7.
