Corel PSP x7 will not start after Upgrade to Win10

Post by krazykenny »

hi,
I`ve upgraded to Win10, but PSP x7 will not start, there is just the background process in the taskmanager,
but the programm will not open.

I already re-installed it, still the same problem.

any solutions ?

Have you downloaded and installed all of the service packs?

yes,

but I solved the problem, I had to use the "corel psp cleanup tool", after that, I
installed PSP X7 again, and it is working again.

Strange that it even happened. I had no trouble opening and using X7 in both 32 and 64 bit versions after upgrading to Win 10...

BTW krazykenny, you might want to update your Profile to show you are now using Win 10. I have added that option to the Profile controls.

EDIT: I note that you have now amended your Profile. Thanks!

I had/have this problem. It ran enough to tell me that X8 was available so I downloaded and installed that but that wouldn't run either. Found the reference to the cleanup tools, ran both X7 and X8 versions, reinstalled X8 but it still won't run. Spent about two hours on it now, no further forward but wallet is £50 lighter. :?

Fixed my problem with this. :D
Ran the PSP cleaner again, realised there was something else amiss because the PC would not close down to restart so ran a registry cleaner, PC restarted, reinstalled X8 and it ran properly.
