Video Studio X8 SP1 cannot install

Hi everyone,

I am a new user of VideoStudio X8 (18.1.0.9 64bit ultimate) and I find that my home made videos generated by X8 on a DVD have these funny spots. I was delighted to see a SP1 posted on the Corel webpage but found that it cannot install. I keep getting the following error message:

Anyone has any ideas? Please advise.

Hello and welcome to the forums

That error message is Corel's very strange way of telling you that Service Pack 1 is already installed - it can happen automatically depending on what is set inside VideoStudio'

you can confirm by opening "Help >> About" and noting that the serial number is 18.1.0.9 the 1 in the second position indicating that SP1 is installed - if we get a SP2 that digit will change to a 2


Start a new topic and tell us about those spots that are bothering you and we'll see if we can get rid of them
