Right Click Menu Gone in X6?

Post by Bryan »

Forgive me if this seems simplistic but I am only an occasional user and not au fait with all the PSP dodges.

I was using PaintShop Pro Photo X2 and I recently upgraded to X6. In the old version, if I was editing an image I could right click anywhere on the image to get a menu which allowed me to cut. copy, paste, selections from images. This does not work in X6 meaning that I have to mouse up to the top of my screen and click "Edit" to get these options. I find this very tiresome and time consuming. Is there any way to turn the right click option on?

Just tested in my versions of X6:
on XP 32 bit version X6 version 16.0.0.113 full set of 12 items showing on right click on image.
on Win 7 32 bit version X6 version 16.2.0.20 same 12 items
on Win 8.1 32 bit version X6 version 16.2.0.20 same 12 items
These include Cut , Copy, copy merged, Paste as New Image,New Layer, New Selection etc.
What do you get ?
No right click menu at all?
What happens if you right click on the title bar (in windowed mode)?
Have you been doing any customisation of your menues and perhaps accidentally deleted it?
Have you saved your workspace and then done a start of PSP while holding down the Shift key to reset it to defaults?

Bryan,
because you use the Pick Tool, you have another menu.
If you use the Pan Tool, you get what you want.

I think I see the problem now (please excuse my lack of experience with this). In PS Pro X2 I can minimise or undock images so that they both appear in the workspace like this.

Following on from the above, I do not seem to be able to minimise or undock the image in X6.

In the Window menu deselect tabbed documents. That will get you the windowed mode you're looking for.
