How do you save a video?
I am very confused about how to save a video I captured on my phone. I snapped photos on my smart phone, hook it up to the computer, then opened one of them in VS. The only thing I can't wrap my brain around is if the video properties say the video is 300mb and I save the project, why is it saved with only 10kb. How is that possible??? Also, I don't know how to save the original file. When i right click on the images on the computer, there is no option to save. No wonder I'm always getting an error message in VS about re-linking. I keep losing my files when I want to open a project. I'm trying to find the instructions to fix this but Corel doesn't have them. Help please!

Re: How do you save a video?
The first thing to do when you want to work on any video - wherever it came from - is to actually and physically save the video to your hard drive - in previous times we used to talk of 'capturing' the video - but with modern digital devices you just transfer the video file
when you connect your phone you can see the videos on it - so first transfer (or copy) the video from your phone to a folder on your hard disc -- you should find a folder on your hard drive supplied by Windows called 'Videos' (or My Videos) - under that I create a folder for each and every project I do - that way you can always find them again - now you don't need to actually 'save' them because they are already "saved"
then you can import them into Videostudio and edit them and add music etc as you wish - when you have finished editing (don't forget to save the project "File >> Save") - this has NOT saved a video file only the project so that you can come back any time later and do more work - the file created when you do that is a very small project file (.vsp) it contains no videos or pictures that's why it is so small - it is just instructions to videostudio as to which pictures you are working on.
To save the final video as a new file on your computer you go to the "Share" tab at the top and select the top icon - "create a video you can play on a computer" and choose what sort of file you want to make - depending on how you want to show it - give it a name etc and then render out a new file complete with all your editing.

Just to add a footnote here, you do this transfer by using Windows File Manager as you would when transferring any other files, and not Video Studio.BrianCee wrote:when you connect your phone you can see the videos on it - so first transfer (or copy) the video from your phone to a folder on your hard disc
