many editing functions are available in the timeline - but what exactly do you mean by 'Merge clips' -

For example, I have two clips (or more) in the timeline, one after the other, and I want to merge them to one clip, so it will be easy to move them all together to other place in the timeline

Well if all you want to do is move them as a block then left click on the first clip - go to the last clip and hold down 'Shift' as you left click on it.
all clips will then be selected as a block - left click on the block and slide your mouse to move all of them to wherever you want.
