Associate file types

Hi all. I discovered that in psp x7 I can not change the association files. I thought happened since the last update. But I uninstalled and reinstalled PSP, and the problem persists; Also in> Control Panel> default programm> Associate file types, you can not select / deselect the file types. What could have happened? Thanks.

File types cannot be orphaned inside of Windows. Once a file type is set you can only reassign the default program. You cannot remove the default program.

So if you want the file types to be associated with a different program, go into Default Programs. select the program you do want the file types associated with, and assign those file types to that program specifically. You can also right-click on a file and select "Open With" and "Choose program" making sure "Always open with" is checked.

You can simply remove a file type association but it's not easy. There are tutorials on it using the Command line. But, this is a windows problem not a PSP problem.

Thanks. I also believe that it is an issue of win. I do not know what happened. When I installed PSP,I deselected NEF and RAW files, but now the check marks are blocked. I will try in some haker forum.
