Audio filter is grayed out

Post by aj327 »

I have videostudio pro x8 ultimate and cannot get the audio filter to work - it's grayed out. I split the sound from a video I took, clicked on the audio track, and then clicked on the blue options button on the right. Though speed/time-lapse is available, Audio filter is grayed out. I've tried several different audio files and still get the same result. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Have you actually dragged an audio filter to the clip in the timeline?

(Love your classical name, by the way!)

Shouldn't be necessary to drag a filter to use that particular function Ken - the only thing I can think at the moment Aeneas is that your audio system is not fully functioning - have you checked to see that you have the very latest drivers for your computer audio

I have the same problem when I am using a clip with 5.1 audio channels. I found out that when using stereo clips, the audio filter is enable. My camcorder has the possibility to choose between stereo and 5.1 channels. In the wishlist for VSx9 I added this wish: Ability to use the "audio filter" on 5.1 sorround audio files
