Slow Rendering Speed

Hello,

I am currently evaluating VS9 and would like to know if there are any benchmarks on the rendering engine of VS9 compared with competitors. I am impressed with the array of editing functions but am somewhat disapointed with the lack of performance while rendering.

Are the workarounds for burning directly to a DVD being worked on or is this something that we will need to live with, even though this is one of VS9's selling points to avoid having to render a project.
