Guides and website 960 guide template
Ok, here is the question, I want to create a website layout. I downloaded 960 guide system template. i then open it in PSP x7, the guides are there. But when i increase the canvas size the guides do not stay in place. In the center. This works in gimp and Inkscape. I want to use PSP tho. How do I lock the guides in place? Hope this makes sense...

Well here is what I was trying to achieve. I did my own custom 1440px wide work area with a 960 webpage layout guide layout. ( Blue and Red guide lines in center of image) Still dont understand why PSP wont hold guidelines in center when you increase canvas size?

Re: Guides and website 960 guide template
Guidelines are an absolute value rather than a percentage. eg make a new canvas 500 x 500 pixels and place guides at 250 vertical and 250 horizontal (right click the guide handle and check) . This is an absolute pixel value and not a percentage so if you resize the image to 1000 x 1000 or by 200% or increase the canvas to 1000 x 1000 and have the original placed in the centre you still get the guides fixed at 250 and 250.
This may be a preference for many when doing layouts, but as you have expressed a relative position would be good as well.
It may be possible to design a script that would calculate the pixel position based on the % you give it and then place the guides in position. Then as you resize, you just run the script again to hget the new positions.

Re: Guides and website 960 guide template
You may use PSP's own system of Guidelines.
You could place the guides over your drawing (place them over the actual red guides). This will help you to draw your page and place your elements. PSP Guide lines are not part of the image. They will not be visible in the final image.
