Voice Over Stops Functioning

Voice Over Stops Functioning
I have been using voice over, without issues. Now I get this message when trying to record: "Device Error, cannot open wave in device." My sound and mic are functioning normally. I can record with Audacity and no problems. I tried V S Pro X7 and got the same error message. Any ideas?
