Corel Videostudio X8 Service Pack 1
Hi, I noticed SP1 for VSX8 was released on July 6. I downloaded it but can not get it to run. it keeps failing with the message "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate." Has anyone else had this issue? I'm suspecting that I have VSX8 ultimate and it's looking fro the pro version only. Any ideas?

That's Corels way of telling you that SP1 is already installed, check your Help/About, it should say that it is 18.1.0.9

Robert, Thanks. your correct. 18.1.0.9 is the version I have. The patch only came out last week and I never downloaded it. Does VS do auto downloading?

Yes if you have set that as a preference in the Corel Guide 'message preferences' options
