I just finished working on a long animation (that is, long for an animated GIF) in PSPX3. It is a series of vector images that I then I saved it as a PSP animation file so that I could have all the layers as frames, something I've done before without any problem. There were a total of 121 frames.
When I opened it in Animation Shop, it played fine except that it stopped at the hundredth frame. All the layers were visible when I saved it, so that is not an issue. I even tried duplicating it and saving it again, but that didn't help. Then I duplicated it, leaving only the last 21 layers visible, renamed and saved it, but when I tried to open it in Animation Shop, it got hung up and the program crashed. I then tried deleting all the layers except for the last 21, and I still couldn't get it to open in AS; it crashed again.
What I'm ending up having to do is import each of the last 21 layers as separate images, to add to the end of the original animation. I don't think I have to go into how aggravating this is.
Does anyone have a solution for this? There doesn't seem to be any problem making an animation of more than 100 frames in AS of 100 frames, just a problem with getting an image of more than 100 layers to open as frames.
Thanks,
Ellen
